Landewednack church

It is something of a surprise that St Wynwallow does not make Simon Jenkins’ list as it is a sweet church, surely the mostly southerly in the country, tucked away a short distance from Lizard point.

It has a rather charming collection of different stone including the local black serpentine which polishes up like marble.

It is dedicated to the saint that apparently came ashore at Gunwalloe.

There is a fuller history here.
