Grade church

Grade 02The church of the Holy Cross or St Grada is one of those now left lonely in the countryside with no other building near it. In fact Cadgwith and the coast are a short distance away. It can be found up a long grassy track.

Extensively re-built by the Victorians, its interior proportions are more suited to an urban suburb than a lonely field.

There is one rather nice C16 brass monument to James Enisey, his wife and ten children: five of each. We can only approve of his arms which bear three griffins.
